I picked up a beauty of a mixer pack at the local lq store the other day. The Irish Collection which has 2 cans each of Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale, Smithwicks Draught, Guinness Draught and Harp Lager. A pic before I prepare to YUM.
I started the evening with a Kilkenny. It being the amber, malty goodness that ,while mild, is absolutely delicious.
#54 is Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale
#55 and #56 Harp Lager & Guinness Draught, Served in the 50/50 Black & Tan formation. You’ll notice that my first attempt on the left failed in the separation, but the 2nd attempt (on the right) is near perfect. I did it with an unbent tablespoon, no bending required. Take that YouTube! I’m not going to go into much detail about this since its neither Guinness nor Harp, but a blend of the two. It really has the crisp taste of a lager with the smooth finish of the Guinness. A tasty treat indeed.
#57 is Smithwicks, sorry for the picture, We were watching a hockey game and I lazily took the pic from my seat with a flash.
Its a bunch of yum packed in together in 1 box. And enough to share with a friend or two. Top that off with the fact that the canucks won that night, wins all around.
Thanks for reading, and I bid you good drinking.
